In 1875 the firm entered its mark in Birmingham Assay Office, while in 1879 the founders Jonathan Wilson Hukin and John Thomas Heath entered their mark in London Assay Office. The firm was active at Imperial Works, Great Charles Street.

MARKS - HALLMARKS - HISTORY The firm began its business in 1863 as Adie & Lovekin (partnership of James Adie,1840-1913 and Alfred Lovekin, 1844-1912) and was active in Snape Street, Hockley, Birmingham (before 1872). The firm became Adie & Lovekin Ltd in 1889. The company manufactured a wide range of silver fancy goods at the end of the 19th century and had a factory in Regent Street, Hockley.
